What survives the fresh start?
The project file describes a volunteer signup. In the prior conversation, the person also chose no sign-in, manual capacity and a deferred waitlist. Those decisions were captured in the checkpoint, but aren’t in the project file.
A / Project files only
A sensible fresh start.
“What I cannot recover … Any prior conversation, decisions made verbally, or rejected approaches.”
Claude proposed a useful form and RSVP list. It could recover the project brief, but not the choices from the earlier conversation.
The question for your own trial: did it carry a decision you would otherwise have had to explain again?
Same model and project file. Fresh sessions with no prior chat or auto-memory loaded. One example, not proof of better overall results or a comparison with Claude’s native resume or memory. Quotes shortened with ellipses; full responses are linked. Inspect the actual checkpoint.
